So, last Wednesday our prayers were answered and the sun shone gloriously all day! We had a wonderfully successful day at the East Kent Ploughing Match at Malmains Farm and could not believe the number of happy faces who came to say hello and enquire about our plant and machinery.
We showcased various items from our growing fleet, including a range of our Kubota excavators, JCB telehandlers and Bomag rollers; and as usual, our 1947 Massey Ferguson TE-20 vintage tractor garnered a huge amount of attention from the avid farming community!
Once again, Blackbird Caterers supplied our visitors with the most delicious locally sourced burgers which did not disappoint in tingling the tastebuds. In keeping with our bid to support local businesses, we sourced our wine from Barnsole Vineyard, who are definitely worth a try with their award winning wines and fizz, all grown and bottled on site in Staple, Kent. Our beers were supplied by Chapel Down and Shepherd Neame, who is Britain’s oldest brewer, and were most welcomed by our thirsty visitors after eagerly watching the ploughing in the sun.
As usual, the East Kent Ploughing Match was a brilliant event, smoothly run by a fantastic team. So we would like to thank all at the EKPMA, our fabulous suppliers and of course You, our visitors, for making it another Ploughing Match to remember.
We are already looking forward to next year!
